Massage
What is massage?
Massage has probably existed ever since humans learnt the power of touch. It is an ancient art which has been used in both traditional and orthodox medicine in most societies, including China, India, ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, by the Arabs and today in modern societies.
What are the benefits of massage?
There has been a lot of research done on how massage can benefit the individual. Here are some of the basic benefits to the different systems of the body when the correct oils have been chosen specifically for the individual:

tones underused/weak muscles
Nervous system
-

-
gives a sense of wellbeing
-

-
can help to improve sleep
-

Skin

helps the skin to eliminate waste products, including toxins
-
increases the production of sebum, helping to eliminate dry and scaly skin
-
Circulation system-
-
improves the flow of blood helping cells to receive necessary nutrients and eliminate waste products
-
improves the flow of lymph, helping reduce fluid retention and cellulite
Endocrine system
-
improves the blood flow so that hormones are more efficiently distributed

-

*Although a regular monthly massage helps to maintain health, for the above benefits to be seen, weekly or fortnightly massages would be more appropriate in the initial treatment process.
